An eclectic mix of folk, blues, old-time mountain music and singer-songwriter influences converge in Nealon's music. He plays guitar, harmonica, banjo, mandolin, and fiddle, and he balances good times, laughs, and restless questions in every set.

Dave's first CD of original songs is called Cleaning Up My Act, and he's just finished Something You Already Know with longtime band mate, Mark Rallings of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Together, they form Case Studies—music to make you feel good and think hard.
