With the band. Tight harmonies, grassy tunes, and springtime in the orchard? What could be better?
A great fundraiser for the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival. Good food and four fine bands. Last up is my band, Tide Spring. Come vote for us! The band with the most votes gets to open for the Seldom Scene at Orkney Springs on September 1! http://www.caveridge.com/centerStage.html
Great chance to hear a wide variety of local musicians. E.L. Smith is on at 8:00. We're on at 9:30 for half an hour.
New songs, new tunings, and new ideas to match the freshness of spring.
Helping out on banjo and mando. Join us!
With the band--and we've almost got a name! Our harmonies are getting pretty good. An intimate atmosphere and outstanding food.
Looks like our little band will join me for tight harmonies and grassy songs!
Come to the old Bergton Elementary for a spaghetti supper and tunes! I'll be playing with the Nameless Bluegrass Band (No, really, we can't think of a name!) featuring Ramona Shenk, Mike Shenk, Mark Currence, and me. Harmonies and nostalgic songs in a mostly-bluegrass style.
Delightful food and tunes just right for the mood you're in.
Come enjoy great local food, coffee roasted with love by Lucas Roasting right here in Broadway, and songs carefully crafted with Valley materials. What a great place! Plenty of room. Sit up close to pay rapt attention to the music or enjoy reading and chatting on the couches by the fire. I'll be featuring songs from my latest release, On the Shores of a Dream.
Tip jars available for your kind donations, but there's no cover charge, so let's pack the place!
Together w/ Mike Shenk. Warm duets to prevent a blue Christmas.
Playing with Mike and Ramona Shenk. You'll love Ramona's voice--reminiscent of Emmylou, and Mike's spritely mandolin. We'll play all those sad songs that make you feel good!
Come enjoy the fall sunshine, the apples, and the cider!
Ramona and Mike Shenk will join me to sing originals and some rustical quality favorites by the likes of the Carter Family and Emmylou Harris.
The Art Group Gallery is a warm and wonderful place--just to soak in the ambiance or to get a few gifts. And the Harvest Festival is a delightful small-town event.
The weather will be fine; come enjoy the fall sunshine.
Trading songs with Harrisonburg's great country bluesman, Alex Albrecht.
I'll play all the songs on my new CD, On the Shores of a Dream.
Fresh food and fresh tunes!
Great event for a great cause. Valley AIDS Network Tour and Taste is a 25-mile bike ride followed by a wine tasting. Nice, eh?

A great event each month. Visual and aural art to challenge and refresh your spirit.
Listen for me on Front Royal's oldies station--95.3 The River. I'll be on with Shenandoah County's director of tourism and marketing, Natalie Wills, and with Jamie Austin Paige from the Mt. Jackson Art Group Gallery. We'll be discussing the gallery's First Friday show this week for which I'm honored to provide the entertainment. And I may get a chance to play a song or two live on the radio.
